a herp. here is the raptor that i started last week. exported into zbrush, where i baked a layer which changed something… i’m not sure. and then i forgot how to change that gradient. i sort of based it on this Jurassic Park raptor toy i have.

meanwhile i am crying in the corner because my computer hates having to render things in 3Ds Max and makes an awful sound when its trying to render a 190 frame animation at the tiniest dimension. and then it turns itself off. someone def needs to upgrade everything.

oh, yea, the brachiosaur! welp, i tried UVmaster out, but even when i protect and suggest areas i still get a garble of texture. at least the poly paint looks nice ( i think i am getting the hang of it. alphas forever pretty much.) keeps putting the seems on its face. :\ i swear i’ve watched that tutorial 20 times already.

i flubbed the toes, they have 4. oops.

haha, obviously my fabulous texture applied in 3Ds Max. will work on learning about those UV things this weekend. here is what it was supposed to look like.

just supper quick, contrasting enough colors to see where they’d end up in 3Ds max. let me tell you, not in the right places at all.

making my kingdom of the dinosaurs! i did a long neck one (can’t ever remember which one is which, apatosaur, bronto, diphlo?) managed to make a texture this time, but it doesn’t translate back into 3Ds Max well (you will see) and thats because of UV somethings. i finally found a video tutorial that explains making your polypaint into a texture for new versions, and also magic, it had a step that no one else had mentioned.

ugh, putting this down for the night. having trouble with texture/uv/maps. can’t find any of the settings that all the how tos talk about. probably using a different version, but it can’t be that different?
